It’s the introduction of BetMGM’s poker platform to Ontario that also allows players to take part in qualifying events that are part of the ARIA Poker Classic.
What is the ARIA Poker Classic?
The ARIA Poker Classic is a poker event run by the ARIA casino and resort in Las Vegas. This poker event offers competitive poker players the chance to compete in a poker tournament that features many poker variants, including pot-limit Omaha, HORSE and Texas hold’em poker. In 2022, the event will feature specific competitions including a $600 No-Limit Hold’em Seniors $100K GTD, a $400 No-Limit Hold’em Ladies $50K GTD, as well as a final Player’s Choice event whose format will be decided by a Twitter vote.

“We like to be the venue where players can come when they’ve got a day off,” Campbell said. “They’re long days, but they’re good structures.”
The addition of the qualifying games for the $1 Million BetMGM Poker Championship have helped make this event even more of a must for competitive poker players.
$1 Million BetMGM Poker Championship
The $1 Million BetMGM Poker Championship is a new high-stakes poker event that offers even more thrills and excitement to fans of the ARIA Poker Classic. Luke Staudenmaier, the director of poker at BetMGM, welcomed the Championship becoming part of the much-loved ARIA Poker Classic:
“The first-ever BetMGM Poker Championship descends on Las Vegas during one of the most exciting times of the poker season. ARIA is a legendary poker brand and we’re thrilled that the Championship has become an integral part of this year’s Poker Classic. Through our relationship with MGM Resorts and its world-class U.S. properties, we’ll continue to leverage event programming and connect with players both online and in their favorite poker rooms.”
There are two ways to secure a seat at this tournament. You can either pay the $3,500 buy-in or try your luck at winning one of the online satellite events. These satellite games run between May 8 and June 12 on BetMGM’s online platforms, while the Championship itself will take place between 23 and 26 June at the ARIA. If you are skilled enough to make it to the final table at the Championship, you’ll have the opportunity to play at the ARIA’s incredible PokerGO Studio and secure your spot in the poker history books.
How to qualify for the $1 Million BetMGM Poker Championship
Between May 8 and June 12, 2022, there are numerous ARIA Poker Classic qualifying events that take place online for the $1 Million BetMGM Poker Championship. In order to take part in these games, all you need to do is log onto your BetMGM Poker Account after which you can pay game buy-ins using cash or Tournament Dollars. The total cost to take part in these events starts from as little as $5 and goes up to a maximum of $500.
Winning any of the qualifying events will get you a seat at the Championship live event worth $3,500. Winners will also be allowed to take part in a $25K Freeroll event that’s scheduled before the Championship and will be hosted by poker pros Darren Elias and Matt Berkey. If you take part in the $500 event, the winner will also receive the $6,000 BetMGM Poker Championship package. This package includes $700 in travel expenses, as well as five nights of paid lodging at the ARIA.
Mystery Bounty event
The excitement doesn’t stop with the Championship main event though, as players will also have the opportunity to participate in a BetMGM Poker Mystery Bounty event with a $600 buy-in. This will undoubtedly add an additional level of thrills to an already-gripping poker tournament.
