The concept of buying a bonus isn’t new – there have been casino games that have had this feature for more than a decade, but in physical casinos it’s been pretty rare. By comparison, the feature is much more prevalent in online options like BetMGM Casino.

What is a Buy a Bonus Slot Feature?
With a Buy a Bonus feature, instead of spinning the slots to try to achieve a bonus, you can pay a set price to instantly be awarded one. The price of the bonus will tend to be higher for higher potential bonuses, but similar to when you land the bonus on your own, and there’s no guarantee of a win.
On most slots, buy a bonus pricing will be listed as it equates to the bet size selected. Raise the bet, and the price will increase proportionally.
Some slots will have multiple bonus options, and therefore multiple Buy a Bonus slot options to go with it.

Pay Pig
In this bonus, each pig you land awards a multiple of your bet. Get clumps of pigs together, and a bigger pig can result, which adds up (and then multiplies) your prize for those pigs:
This bonus cost 80x the bet amount I had selected – a bit more affordable than the first two!
Djinni’s Arabian Riches
In this slot, a free spin multiplier grows as you play – when the free spins are awarded, so is the multiplier you’ve accumulated (which then continues to grow in the bonus).
But in a unique twist, you can choose to buy the bonus with the multiplier accumulated in the base game, or stick with the baseline 1x starting multiplier. I chose to buy the bonus with the multiplier. The 1x bonus is about 50x your bet amount, but in my case the 8x I had accumulated was above 60x (although still a lower cost than the previous games on the list).
Triple Power Peppers
Here’s an affordable bonus buy option for those of you who want to play with the idea but not spend a ton:
In this segment of a video, I ultimately buy the bonus twice.
