“No Limit” is a new video series hosted by NBA champion Iman Shumpert, featuring himself and special guests discussing all things basketball while playing a game of blackjack.
Filmed at Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, Shumpert and his guests – NBA players, comedians, and media personalities – play the popular table game while dissecting anything and everything from their positions in the game, historic moments, mindset, dream podcast guests, advice, current NBA stars, and their takes on various casino games.
Shumpert – who has played for the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks, among other teams – and his guests have a natural rapport, sharing stories of their time in the game while seeing if they can hit that coveted 21.
BetMGM is also the presenting sponsor of Playmaker HQ’s “Roommates Show” with NBA players Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. Playmaker HQ, part of Better Collective’s global House of Brands, debuted “No Limit” under its dedicated casino content arm, “All In.”
“All In” is a new vertical under Better Collective and “No Limit” is the first foray into a dedicated casino show.
Episode 1 of “No Limit” Talks New York Knicks, Fatherhood, and MVPs
In episode one of “No Limit,” Shumpert is joined by Mario Chalmers, who played for the Miami Heat.
Discussions on the New York Knicks, Anthony Edwards, Kobe Bryant’s aura, daily habits, and advice to their younger selves are on tap for this first episode. Plus, as they continue their blackjack game, they discuss what their “Mount Rushmore” of casino games would be. Hint: Chalmers loves three-card poker.
Favorite Teams, Hot Takes, and Basketball Films Fuel the Conversation in Episode 3 of “No Limit”
Content creators Zach Misischia and Brian Conforth – founders of The Makeshift Project brand and podcast – hit the table with Shumpert for a lively debate.
They talk video games, favorite NBA teams, Jason Kidd, the Wilt Chamberlain conspiracy, money vs. championship rings, hot NBA season takes, and controversial opinions on basketball players.
The trio discussing their favorite basketball movies as they play blackjack is definitely a highlight of the episode.
Episode 5 Reveals the Parallels of a Career On the Comedy Stage and the Basketball Court.
Shumpert is joined by comedian Gary Owen, who discusses his earliest gambling memories of playing dominoes in the Navy and learning poker, while Shumpert shares games played on team plane while traveling for games.
They play blackjack while swapping stories about comedy legends, social media, how they get hyped up, NBA culture, and bombing on stage. Owens also dishes on his famous show attendees, which NBA players could do stand-up comedy, and advice for young comedians.
