BetMGM analyzed Instagram follower growth across the full Coachella 2026 lineup to identify which performers saw the biggest spikes in fan interest during and immediately after the festival.
Using Social Blade data, researchers at BetMGM Casino tracked follower increases for 129 artists performing across the weekend, revealing who gained the most new fans.
The Top 5 Breakout Artists at Coachella 2026
Based on total follower growth, these were the artists who saw the biggest increases in audience size between Friday, April 10, and Monday, April 13:

Justin Bieber gained 400,000 followers on Sunday alone, the day after his highly anticipated set on the main stage.

- Surprisingly, Central Cee, a UK drill rapper, ranked in the top 3 for gaining practically as many followers as Sabrina Carpenter. UK rap is competing directly with global pop at the highest level.
- Pop acts dominated growth, accounting for 77% of the top 10 artists’ follower growth.
- Despite headlining, Karol G ranked 27th for follower growth, only gaining 6,500 new fans.
- Coachella’s attention is concentrated among a few breakout moments, shown by follower growth being heavily top-loaded.
- Older legacy acts still benefit from festival exposure, such as The Strokes and Moby.
- Digital-native artists do well at converting festival visibility into growth – Addison Rae (#10), PinkPantheress (#5), Slayyyter (#9).
- Dance music doesn’t translate into follower growth as strongly as pop or rap.

Methodology
Researchers at BetMGM Casino analyzed Instagram follower counts for artists listed on the Coachella 2026 lineup using Social Blade.
Follower counts were recorded on Thursday, April 9, and again on Monday, April 13, allowing for total and percentage growth to be calculated across the festival period.
The data is accurate as of Monday, April 13th, 2026.
