It’s only natural to dream of far-off lands, such as lying on the beach in the Maldives, exploring the forests of Borneo, or going on safari in Tanzania, but the truth is that the USA itself has a whole heap of bucket list-worthy adventures waiting to be explored. Whether you’re a food aficionado, a camping enthusiast, a culture and history fundi, or you’re simply looking for the best casino resort – there’s something for everyone in the USA.
Today, we’re going to take a look at a wide variety of amazing places for people from all walks of life to enjoy right within our own borders.
Colorado Rockies
If bucolic backroads, wildlife, and stunning scenery are your thing, then the Rocky Mountains are going to be right up your alley. This unbelievable mountain range stretches all the way from northernmost British Columbia right until New Mexico. The 30 highest summits can be found in Colorado, and it’s here that you’ll find amazing camping, hiking, biking, and rafting experiences in the summer months that are then swapped out for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter activities in the colder months. Whether you want to go off-grid camping or stay in a luxury resort, the Colorado Rockies have got you covered.
Southern Soul in New Orleans

There’s no place that better exemplifies the melting pot of culture and heritage that we love in the USA than New Orleans. It’s the birthplace of jazz, blues, and bounce, as well as some of the best Creole and Cajun cuisine in the state. New Orleans is simply a cultural masterpiece, whether you’re looking for an intimate live music venue, signature seafood, to play at a casino on a riverboat, try out some casino table games, and more. Of course, BetMGM has two of the best places in the state to try your luck, local cuisine, and lay your head down in the lap of luxury at the Beau Rivage and Gold Strike Tunica in nearby Mississippi.
Wine farms in the Napa Valley
The Golden State is filled to the brim with exciting activities, but one of our favorite places is undoubtedly the Napa Valley. Now, you don’t have to be a sommelier to enjoy your time here, as there are countless activities within the vineyard-strewn valley for all sorts of interests. From wine or beer tasting, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, restaurant hopping, and anything else in between, there is a little something for everyone in this beautiful balmy climate.
A slice of the Big Apple in New York
There’s a lot more to New York than meets the eye, and of course, there are thousands of things to keep everyone in the family happy. You can visit the Museum of Modern Art, be entertained by the stars on Broadway, check out Central Park or Times Square, or you could try out one of New York’s world-famous pizzas. There are more than 400 pizzerias in New York, and with the average size of these pizzas coming in at 3ft in radius, you better leave a lot of space for pizza.
Soak up history in Washington D.C.
Washington D.C. is a must-visit for anyone who has an interest in the why that the USA is run from a political perspective. As the nation’s capital, history buffs will be able to see everything from the White House and the Capitol to the Supreme Court building. There’s also the Washington Monument, the World War II Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and so much more. Visitors can get lost in wonder for hours upon hours at the number of Smithsonian museums too. BetMGM also has a perfectly placed luxury pad, the MGM National Harbor, on the shores of Lake Potomac for visitors to Washington D.C.
See The Narrows at Zion National Park
Deep within Utah’s Zion National Park lies the Zion Canyon. The Narrows is the narrowest section of the Canyon, and it’s undoubtedly the park’s most beautiful hike. The landscape is as striking as can be, with the river acting as a trail. This isn’t for the faint of heart, however, as you’ll have to traverse through water that can be waist-deep at times, but the wonderful summer weather and stunning scenery make this hike absolutely bucket list-worthy.
Going-to-the-Sun Road, Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park is, without a doubt, one of the USA’s most beautiful landscapes. Located in Montana, it consists of ragged mountains, turquoise lakes, beautiful flowers, and exceptional wildlife encounters. The Going-to-the-Sun Road was completed in 1932, and it allows visitors to drive the width of the park, stopping at various scenic spots along the way, with amazing hikes found just off the road. The road crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass, but keep in mind that the road normally only opens in late June or early July due to weather conditions.
