Money From Mars has a classic slot layout with a 5x3 set of reels, and a number of ways to win with 50 active paylines. Players can bet between $1 and $50 per spin, and the maximum payout on the base game is 300x your wager. To stand the chance of winning 2,500x your stake, you’ll need to land a number of money bag symbols during the bonus game, which is when you’ll also play for the grand jackpot of $100,000.
The RTP (return to player) for this slot is on the lower end, at 94.5%, with modern slots averaging around 96%, however, the developer made a good compromise by making this title medium volatility, which means moderate wins occur regularly.

How to play
Money From Mars is a simple and straightforward game. To play, simply review the paytable (which you’ll find when you select the menu button in the bottom left corner of the game screen,) then set your bet amount ($1 to $50) using the arrows on the bar below the reels. On this bar, you’ll also find the option to set the game for autospins: By clicking the fast-forward button next to the play button, you can choose between 10 and 100 autospins. You also have the option of setting a loss limit for autospins, which is great news for safer gameplay. View your wins on the bottom bar, and see the jackpots up for grabs above the reels.
The symbols on the reels include the low-paying royal playing cards 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A, featured in hot pink; some fun space objects, which are the mid-range symbols, including a ray gun, robot and a communication device; and then there are a male and a female alien which are the highest-paying symbols. The pink flying saucer represents the wild symbol, and the scatter symbols include a meteor and gold coins multipliers. The gold coins can also appear as a second and third wild symbol, replacing other symbols to boost winning combinations.
The highest-paying symbol in the base game, the aliens, offer 6x the wager when you land 5 of them on a payline, so most of the action and the biggest win potential take place in the bonus games round, which we’ll discuss in more detail later.
Graphics
The reels are set against a dusty, desolate planet filled with large craters and set against a blue and yellow sky. The classic Hollywood-style aliens are green, have big eyes and little antennas. The symbols include cartoon-style graphics with vibrant colors and a retro feel, similar to The Jetsons cartoon. The reels themselves are bright yellow with a pink border, and the jackpots are displayed in green at the top of the reels, with two UFOs zipping across the screen every time you land a win. You’ll also see some of the symbols walking or flying across the screen while you play!
As it turns out, aliens love disco music! The soundtrack features some funky tunes that’ll be sure to have you grooving while you play. The reels rotate with an old-school arcade-style clicking sound, and each bonus feature arrives with a special “space” effect. You’ll also hear lasers being fired every now and then, making for a fun overall experience.

As we’ve mentioned, Money From Mars features a number of wild symbols and scatter symbols, which appear in the base game and also work to trigger the bonus rounds.
Wild symbol
There are three wild symbols in this game, the most predominant wild being the flying saucer. It substitutes for all symbols except the scatter and the gold coin substitutes. The flying saucer appears on reels 3, 4, and 5 during the base game, and reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 during the bonus games.
There are two gold coin substitute multipliers – a gold coin with an “A” written on it, and a gold coin with a blue gem embedded in it. Both substitute for all symbols except the scatter symbols. They can appear on reel 3 during the base game, and if either participates in a win, the win amount is doubled. The appearance of the coin with the blue gem will trigger the Money Bags feature.
Free spins
Land 3 meteors to trigger the Free Games Feature. During this feature, a new scatter symbol is active – the green stack of bills, which appears on reels 2, 3, and 4. During this round, you’ll have a choice of four feature options:
- 10 free spins, with all wins multiplied by 5
- 15 free spins, with all wins multiplied by 3
- 20 free spins, with all wins multiplied by 2
- A random combination of 10, 15, or 20 free spins, with a 5x, 3x, or 2x multiplier.
During the Free Games round, 3 meteor symbols will trigger an additional 10 free spins.
Bonuses and jackpots
The Money Bags feature is a bonus round that pays out in multipliers, and also hosts the Minor, Major, and Grand Jackpot.

When you land a gold coin scatter during the free spins round, you will trigger the Money Bags feature, where 9 purple money bags will appear on screen and stay in position for 3 spins. Should you land any more money bags during one of these 3 spins, that bag will also hold in place, and the spins will be reset to 3.
Each money bag will pay out a random prize of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, or 250x your wager at the end of the spins round. They may also pay out the Minor ($500) or Major ($2,000) jackpot, which is displayed above the reels. If you are lucky enough to land 15 money bags, you’ll trigger the Grand jackpot of $100,000!
