The research revealed several insights into player behavior, correlating with previous knowledge about behavior and state regulations.
Pennsylvania had the highest search volume for “online casino,” confirming its status as one of the most successful online casino states. It is home to an abundant selection of online casinos in the U.S., and online gambling has been legal since 2017, which makes it one of the oldest online gaming markets in the country.
Nevada’s top-ranking search for poker, roulette, and blackjack games is significant, given that poker is the state’s only form of legal online gaming. Searches most likely result from players looking to see if any of these are available yet, for the plethora of accessible free and social online casino games, or to find an in-person game nearby.
Online casinos have not been legalized in DC. However, online bingo is legal for charitable purposes and licensed NPOs, which might explain why the search volume for bingo is high in the District of Columbia.
