When it comes to the NFL, fans spend months debating which athletes deserve the top draft picks. But what if Americans got to draft their ultimate fall comforts the same way?
In the Fall Comfort Draft from BetMGM Casino, Gen Z and Millennials picked their seasonal MVPs — and pumpkin spice lattes didn’t even make the roster.
BetMGM surveyed 1,500 Americans aged 18–34 and asked them to “draft” their top picks across seven cozy categories: celeb, drink, tradition, aesthetic, scent, entertainment, and overall vibe.
Key Findings
Here’s what young Americans say actually defines the perfect fall this season:
- The celebrity who best embodies fall? Taylor Swift (33%)
- Go-to fall drink? Hot chocolate (53%)
- Ideal tradition? A night in with a movie (23%)
- Top aesthetic? Cozy sweaters (56%)
- Most pleasing scent? Cinnamon/apple (29%)
- Favorite fall watch? Harry Potter movies (32%)

Meg Ryan, star of the iconic fall film “You’ve Got Mail”, received the fewest votes at just 5% – a surprise twist given her cozy rom-com legacy.
Fall Comfort Drink

Despite being TikTok’s recent seasonal hit, Maple Latte received the fewest votes. It seems this sweet-syrup trend isn’t the go-to for the majority, with only 3% choosing this viral drink.
Favorite Fall Tradition
- Night in and a movie
- Visiting a pumpkin patch
- Football Sundays
Corn mazes earned the lowest ranking, only garnering 3% of votes. It seems today’s fall crowd prefers streaming escapes over literal ones.

Leopard print received the least amount of votes at just 6%. Perhaps fall 2025 is more “low-effort layers” than loud statement pieces?

Surprisingly, baked pastries received the least amount of votes at just 13%.
Most Loved Fall Watch

Results were weighted by age, gender, and region to align with the U.S. Census benchmarks for this age group.
