Does Ultimate Texas Hold’Em Pay Real Money?

There are four legal U.S. casino states where BetMGM Casino is operational and legally active. These states are New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia. If you’ve registered to play at BetMGM Casino and are physically located in one of these four states, you can receive real money wins.

How To Play Ultimate Texas Hold’Em

If you’ve played regular Texas hold’em, then you’ll have no problem picking up Ultimate Texas Hold’em, as the rules are virtually identical — bar a few minor changes, such as how betting unfolds. If you’ve never played Texas hold’em before, here’s what you need to know to play the Ultimate Texas Hold’em game.

You begin by placing Ante and Blind bets that match each other in value. You can also choose to play the Trips side bet (which is covered in more detail later in the review). You can confirm your bets by selecting the Deal button.

When you select the Deal button, your initial bets will be locked in, and you’ll receive your starting hand, which consists of two playing cards. You can then choose to place a Play bet. The Play bet changes in value depending on the betting round but starts at 3x or 4x your original blind wager. You can also choose to check and not raise. Here are some points to consider:

  • If you place a 4x or 3x bet, a single card will be discarded, and all five community cards will be dealt.
  • If you choose to check, a single card will be discarded, and three community cards will be dealt. You can then choose to place a 2x bet or to check.
  • If you place a 2x bet, a single card will be discarded, and the last two community cards will be dealt.
  • If you choose to check, a single card will be discarded, and the final two community cards will be dealt. You can then choose to place a 1x bet or fold.

Regardless of when you choose to raise your bet, when all five community cards are dealt, the hands will be assessed, and the winner will be declared based on the strength of the player’s and dealer’s hands. Players are paid out according to their Ante, Blind, Play, and Trips bets.

Ultimate Texas Hold’Em Game Features

Ultimate Texas Hold’em is another poker game from SG Digital that aims to streamline the excitement, allowing you to enjoy more hands of poker when you play. It achieves this by making this a game against the house and by adjusting how bets are made during the game. Unlike other head-to-head poker games, Ultimate Texas Hold’em doesn’t make any dramatic changes, such as reducing the hand size, keeping it closer to the original Texas hold’em game.

Ultimate Texas Hold’Em Bonuses and Jackpots

The bonus side bet in Ultimate Texas Hold’em is the Trips side bet. You can make a maximum wager of $200 on this bet, and if you get one of the winning hands, you’ll receive a payout. The winnings hands and their payout odds are:

Royal Flush +5,000
Straight Flush +4,000
Four of a Kind +3,000
Full House +800
Flush +700
Straight +400
Three of a Kind +300

The outcome of this side bet is unaffected by whether you win or lose against the house. All you need to do is complete one of the qualifying hands to claim your prize.

The second bonus is not a side bet, but a bonus Blind bet payout that’s only honored if you win. The game will pay out a bonus value based on your Blind bet if you have the stronger hand and you land one of the following combinations of cards:

Royal Flush +50,000
Straight Flush +5,000
Four of a Kind +1,000
Full House +300
Flush +150
Straight ±100

How To Win Ultimate Texas Hold’Em

In order to win when you play Ultimate Texas Hold’em, you need to have a stronger hand than the house. The hand rankings are the same as in regular poker for standard bets. The hand rankings are (from strongest to weakest):

  • Royal Flush: An ace, king, queen, jack, and 10 from the same suit.
  • Straight flush: Five cards of consecutive value from the same suit.
  • Four of a kind: Four cards of the same value.
  • Full house: Three cards of the same value plus two cards of another matching value.
  • Flush: Five cards from the same suit.
  • Straight: Five cards of consecutive value from different suits.
  • Three of a kind: Three cards of the same value.
  • Two pair: Two cards of the same value plus two cards of another matching value.
  • Pair: Two cards of the same value.
  • High card: The highest value single card.

Hands are made using the two cards in your hand and three of the five community cards.

There are many beginner strategies for regular Texas hold’em, but here are some specific beginner tips that you can use in this version of the game:

  • Side bets are high risk, high reward, so don’t bet on them if you have a small bankroll.
  • Learn about which are the best starting poker hands, as this will affect how you bet preflop.
  • If you have a pair or better, go for the 2x bet postflop.
