The excitement is ramping up as we get closer to the BetMGM Poker Championship at the 2023 ARIA Poker Classic. Returning to the ARIA Resort & Casino for a second year in a row, the action at the BetMGM Poker Championship will kick off on Friday, June 9, 2023. Let’s find out everything you need to know about one of the most exciting BetMGM poker tournaments taking place this year.
Qualifying Events
Over 100 qualifiers are set to take place and will be hosted in regulated markets in the United States, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan, as well as Ontario, Canada. Buy-in for the qualifiers will start from as little as $2 and will start on Monday, May 1, 2023. Those taking part in these qualifiers will stand a chance to win a $3,500 buy-in for the BetMGM Poker Championship.
Players can also take part in special qualifying events every Sunday from May 7 to May 28. Two qualifiers will be hosted on Thursday, May 11 and Thursday, June 1, 2023.
These qualifying events have a buy-in of $600 but also put competitors in the running to win a Las Vegas poker package worth a total of $6,500. This package includes the $3,500 buy-in, an $800 buy-in for the Mystery Bounty event also taking place during the 2023 ARIA Poker Classic, $500 for travel expenses, an all-expenses-paid stay at the ARIA for six nights between June 7 and June 13, 2023, and a BetMGM swag bag. A limited number of these packages will be available to winners at these special qualifying events.
The Location
The BetMGM Poker Championship will take place at the ARIA’s famous Poker Room at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas between June 9 and June 13. The ARIA also has 24 poker tables and hosts regular tournaments and cash games for poker players to enjoy.
The Buy-In for the Tournament
The buy-in for the BetMGM Poker Championship event is $3,500.
The Prize Money
The prize money has been doubled from last year’s guaranteed $1 million to a guaranteed $2 million prize pool.
When Is the First Day?
The event starts on June 9 and is set to begin with two starting flights to cater to all the players who will be taking part in the tournament. Day 1A will take place on June 9 and Day 1B will take place on June 10. The action will start at 12 p.m. on both of these days.
How Many Days of Play Are There?
There are five total days of play. As we’ve previously mentioned, Days 1A and 1B will take place on June 9 and June 10, with games starting at 12 p.m. Day 2 will take place on June 11, again with games starting at 12 p.m. Day 3 will take place on June 12 in the PokerGo Studio at 1 p.m. The Final Table will take place in the PokerGo Studio on June 13 at 3 p.m.

The final table will take place on June 13 at 3 p.m. The PokerGo Studio will broadcast the event live.
